Hiya, Dana! Welcome back to planDisney! I’m happy to help with your question!
One of the best things about Walt Disney World, at least in my humble opinion, is that there are so many dining options for people with all different culinary tastes. I had the opportunity to dine at
Steakhouse 71 on a recent trip, and had a wonderful meal. I especially loved the Not A Pop cocktail, which I’ve been trying to recreate at home to no avail.
I know that many Walt Disney World restaurants serve chicken tenders, even if they aren’t listed on the menu, as well as some other dishes like buttered noodles and grilled cheese. I talked with a helpful Cast Member, and they told me that Steakhouse 71 will make accommodations as best they can, but there is no guarantee that chicken tenders will be available. If the availability of chicken tenders will determine whether or not you’d like to dine at Steakhouse 71, I’d suggest stopping by the restaurant ahead of your reservation and speaking with the Cast Member at the host stand. They should be able to assist you and let you know if any off-menu items are available.
If you’re looking to dine at the Contemporary Resort, I do know that chicken tenders are on the menu at
Contempo Cafe, and I recall that they were available when my family dined at
Chef Mickey’s. I know these aren’t quite the same ambiance as Steakhouse 71, but maybe they’re good options if you’re staying at the resort or looking to dine close to the Magic Kingdom.
Dana, I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
