I have reservation at all star music for 2/28 - 3-3. How do I get wrist band?

    Welcome to planDisney, John.

A stay at Disney's All-Star Music Resort sounds awesome! You must be so excited. Not long now until you'll be at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I bet your heart is singing, "I'm almost there!"

One of the benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is getting discounts on MagicBands. You can do this up to 6 days before your arrival. Whenever I travel to Walt Disney World Resort, I love wearing my MagicBand. You can choose from a variety of amazing designs, including different colors, Disney Characters, and themes. More importantly, they have some really great abilities. They enable you to magically unlock your Disney Resort room door, enter Theme Parks and Water Parks (as long as you have valid admission), connect a Disney PhotoPass to your account, and even pay for dining and souvenirs. What's not to love?!

If you'd like to purchase MagicBands, John, then you've got a few options. My top recommendation would be to purchase them through your My Disney Experience account. Once you've signed in, hover the cursor over the "My Disney Experience" tab and then a drop-down menu should appear. Click on "My MagicBands and Cards." This will take you to a screen that lists your travel party with the heading "MagicBand Order for [number in your party] Guests". Follow that link and that should enable you to select MagicBands for each individual in your party. As long as you do this more than 10 days before your arrival, they should be able to ship them to your home. If you order them 6-10 days before your arrival then they'll simply ship them to Disney's All-Star Music Resort and you can pick them up at the check-in desk once you arrive.

Another option is to purchase them through ShopDisney. The advantage of this is that you get more options than you do when shopping through your My Disney Experience account. The disadvantage is that they will likely cost you more. You will also have to link them to your account once they arrive.

One final option is to wait until you arrive at Walt Disney World. There are MagicBands available in your Resort, at the Theme Parks, and at Disney Springs. Like the second option above, you will have to link your new MagicBands to your account. To do that, once you've purchased your MagicBand(s), open your My Disney Experience account, click on "My MagicBands and Cards" and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There should be a "Link" button under the "Link a MagicBand" section. The rest is fairly straightforward.

I hope that's helpful, John. With the 50th Anniversary Celebration happening, I'm sure you'll make a ton of core memory days. Make sure you watch Harmonious and Disney Enchantment. And whatever you do, you simply have to experience the wonderful new attraction, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure! I was grinning from EAR to EAR.

Have an enchanting trip, John. Thanks for being our Guest.

    Mike
