Welcome back to planDisney, Mike!
I’m happy to see that you have a vacation planned for next year! April is a lovely time to visit! I highly recommend watching the
Disney Parks Blog for updates as you near your trip — there’s almost always something magical happening at the theme parks during spring break!
I’m happy to point you in the direction of the current cancellation terms and conditions. Sometimes it’s a little tricky to find the most up-to-date policies, but if you
follow this link you’ll find the most current Disney World policies.
As per the current official policy, “…cancellations made 30 days or more prior to guest arrival, amounts paid, minus cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers, non-refundable runDisney race registrations, non-refundable travel protection plan costs, and other amounts owed, will be refunded.” This means that, yes, the $200 deposit will be refunded to you if you cancel at least 30 days before your reservation. Please note that, “…cancellations made 2 days to 29 days prior to guest arrival, amounts paid, minus a cancellation fee of $200.00 per package and minus any cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers, non-refundable runDisney race registrations, non-refundable travel protection plan costs and other amounts owed, will be refunded.” This means if you miss that 30 day window, you will not receive your $200 deposit back. And a final note that, “cancellations made 1 day or less prior to guest arrival or for no-shows, the full price of the package is non-refundable.” So mark your calendar if you feel like there is a possibility for cancellation.
We hope you have a marvelous trip, Mike! If you have additional questions, you know where to find us!
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
