We have a reservation for Space 220 for lunch. Can we just order dessert and drinks?

    Hi there, Jennifer!

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney as you finalize the plans for your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort. In my family, memories are made around the table, so Walt Disney World's deliciously unique dining offerings are always highlights of our vacation. You'll be in the middle of the magic before you know it, so let's dig in

As a millennial who dressed as Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century on more than one occasion, my heart went boom boom when I learned that I would have the opportunity to channel my inner Supernova Girl and dine among the stars in EPCOT. I was so amazed by the incredible views when I first stepped out of the elevator and into the restaurant that I was tempted to shout, "Cetus-Lupeedus!" This particular restaurant's unique atmosphere makes it a coveted reservation, so congratulations on securing one!

Unfortunately, Jennifer, if your reservation is for Space 220 Restaurant then you will be unable to order just dessert and drinks as it offers a prix-fixe menu for both lunch and dinner. Since you're hoping for drinks and lighter bites, I suggest seeing if you can make a reservation (or join the walk-up list) for Space 220 Lounge rather than Space 220 Restaurant. Both options enable Guests to enjoy the magical elevator ride to Centauri Space Station and dine with views that are truly out of this world, but while Guests of the restaurant order from a prix-fixe menu, Guests of the lounge have a bit more flexibility. The lounge-specific menu features 'flight bites' (I never skip the Astro Deviled Eggs), cocktails, and mocktails all inspired by the setting, and while not on the menu, I have had success ordering dessert à la carte. Of course, it's important to keep in mind that menu (and off-menu) items are subject to change, so it's not guaranteed that dessert will be offered in the lounge during your visit. If not, you could always opt to enjoy just a dessert-inspired drink such as the Up All Night.

Regardless of whether you dine in the restaurant or lounge, you're in for a treat, Jennifer, so enjoy!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
    Lizzie
