    Hi, We have a reservation September 20-26,2019. My Mother has a torn meniscus. We are planning for the early morning magic in order to make it easier on her but how should we plan for Hollywood studios if Star Wars Opens? Should we skip that park?

    Nichole, you have definitely chosen an exciting time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort!  If you have sensed a disturbance in the force, it must be because earlier today, it was announced that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be opening ahead of schedule on August 29, 2019.

    As a huge Star Wars fan, I wouldn't dream of skipping a visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has been highly anticipated, and while many guests will find it worth braving the crowds to visit a galaxy far, far away, I can certainly understand why some may choose to wait a bit before visiting this immersive new land.  I'm sure you will want to take crowd levels into consideration as you plan for your upcoming vacation.

    Visiting the theme parks early in the day is always a good strategy for avoiding crowds, and Early Morning Magic events are great for this purpose.  Currently, the Walt Disney World website is showing dates for Early Morning Magic at Toy Story Land through late August.  You can keep checking the website to see if more dates are added.  At this time, it is unclear how the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will affect this event, but you can keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news.

    In the meantime, the Walt Disney World website has some great information on services for guests with mobility issues that you and your mother might find helpful.
