I have a reservation at Saratoga, but would prefer Bech Club or Riviera. How do I add waitlist for them?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, David!

You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney.  While it might seem far away, you'll be strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. and enjoying all the sights and sounds of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort before you know it!  Because December is such a popular time to visit, you'll definitely want to plan ahead to help your vacation run as smoothly as possible.  As soon as you've purchased park admission, be sure to make theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system.  Last year, the some of the parks were completely booked in early and mid-December, so I definitely recommend not waiting until the last minute to book those reservations.  I also suggest making a few advance dining reservations to enjoy throughout your trip.  If you're planning to watch EPCOT's Candlelight Processional, you can even book a dining package that includes reserved seating for the show.  You'll be sitting down to a great meal and skipping long lines for the show –– what could be more magical than that?

While Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a beautiful Resort, there's something pretty fantastic about jumping on Disney Skyliner or walking directly to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  In fact, quick and easy access to both parks is one of the things I love most about staying at Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's Riviera Resort.  Unfortunately, however, the convenience of these Resorts (not to mention their wonderful atmosphere and amenities) also means that they fill up very quickly and availability can be hard to find.  Here's the great news, though –– making a waitlist request for your upcoming visit is a quick and easy process. Let me walk you through the steps of waitlisting a reservation:

    1. After signing in to the Disney Vacation Club website, hover over the "Plan Vacation" tab and select "Book a Vacation" from the drop-down menu.
    2. Enter the details for the stay you would like to waitlist (you'll need to make each waitlist request separately) and click "Check Availability".
    3. Click the arrow next to your preferred room type and select "Continue to Waitlist".
    4. Follow the on-screen prompts to choose your expiration date, replace an existing booking, and authorize Vacation Points borrowing (if necessary), then click "Continue".
    5. After filling out the Guest information and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, select "Submit Waitlist Request" to finalize your waitlisted reservation.

And that's it!  After making your first waitlist request, you can repeat the steps of this process to waitlist additional reservations.  Just note that you can only have two active waitlist requests per Membership, so if you'd like to waitlist reservations at both Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's Riviera Resort, you'll only be able to request a single reservation for each property.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, David.  If you think of new planning questions as your vacation gets closer, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always happy to help!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
