We have a reservation for 5 rooms at the All Star Sports in August. One of us needs a scooter, so we would love to have a ground floor room that is as close as possible to transportation. Is there a specific area or building we should ask for?

Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney Dennis!

Five rooms sound like a whole lot of fun piled into one trip. A group that size is perfect to spend time with at the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney's All-Star Sports Resort salutes everything sports, including some of my favorites like baseball, basketball, and football. Upon arrival at All-Star Sports, you can head to the front desk and speak with the first available Cast Member about your room requests. While requests are not guaranteed the Cast Members will always do their best to accommodate your ground floor near transportation requests. These Cast members are the best and know exactly where would be the best area to accommodate your needs. My protip is to trust them that is their turf and let that "home field advantage" work to your advantage. If at all possible you can visit your resort in the morning to make the request before check-in begins at 3 p.m. That in my opinion helps give the front desk the best opportunity to get your request fulfilled.

All-Star Sports Resort has so much to offer outside of a place to sleep. The resort has activities going on all week, be sure to get a list of those activities from the front desk at check-in. There are campfires with marshmallow roasting, movies under the stars, and a pretty awesome arcade. The Surfboard Bay Pool and Grand Slam Pool each have their own personality and one of them has my pal Goofy throwing a stream of water at nearby guests. If you or someone needs to get in a workout there is a 1-mile jogging trail, most are able to build up a good sweat with a lap or two.

I hope this information is helpful in getting your requests fulfilled at your resort. Enjoy your time and make sure to spend time with everyone and don't rush. It's about being with each other and making memories. Oh yeah, take a lot of pictures. It helps when your trip ends and you want to look back to have a whole bunch of moments to be able to look at.

    Have a magical stay,
