How can you make a reservation at a restaurant 180 days in advance without compromising your vacation fun. How do you know where you are going to be in the park that day? Do you end up planning your day around a supper reservation?

    Hi Linda,

Yes, I found that we tended to make our reservations around the Extra Magic hours at the different parks, so after we ate we would still be able to enjoy the extra hours at the park afterwards in the evenings.  I too was worried about our time being compromised, but if you plan 180 days in advance (when you are able to view the Extra Magic Hours available for each of the parks), and figure mostly on being at the parks at this specific time to utilize this great service for Walt Disney World guests only, then I think you will be happy eating there on these days as well, and your plans will not be compromised one little bit.  It is a fine art to make all your plans ahead of time with which parks you will be at and when and where you will be eating.  If this is done right, I can tell you that your trip will be fantastic and you will not need to make these decisions once on vacation...this was a great relief for us on our last trip with the dining plan and we would do it in a heartbeat again.  Usually, I find that we tend to go to the parks that offer the Extra Magic Hours anyways, so this was not going to affect our fun time there at all, in fact it worked better as we already knew where we were going to eat and be for that particular evening.  The dining experiences were fantastic and we were able to see a whole new side to Disney World we never even new existed (and still wouldn't know about unless we had tried the Dining Plan!!!!).  Don't let it worry you.....go with the flow and trust your instinct ahead of time to be where you think you'll want to be.....you can always make cancelations if you change your mind once there!!!

    Best wishes,
