Welcome to planDisney Sara!
You can certainly dine at a Disney Resort hotel even if not staying there. Parking is permitted at that resort as long as you have a confirmed
Dining Reservation. When you approach the Security Booth at the resort you are dining at, a friendly Security Guard will ask you for your name and will look up to confirm that you have a reservation. You will need to present a photo ID, then you will be directed to the parking area.
While you are visiting as a guest of a Disney Resort for a meal, take time to tour the lobby, walk the beautiful grounds, and check out the gift shops. It is a fun way to see if this might be a location to stay at on your next magical Walt Disney World vacation. Please note that while it will be tempting, pools are for the registered guests of that resort only, so no taking a dip during your visit!
Now your only problem will be choosing where to dine - there are so many fantastic options!
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is always a hit with my family, as is
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club. Wherever you choose, make sure to secure a Dining Reservation!
Have a great time exploring the dining options at Walt Disney World!
