We have a reservation for preferded roon at All Star Movies and I'd like to know if I can change it in order to reserve a room at the Love Bug building? My family is completely crazy about this character.

You may change your reservation. If you purchased a package, check the Terms and Conditions for any restrictions. For instance, if you are within 45 days of you travel dates, there may be fees imposed to make any changes. However, you won't know until you call and ask!

If you booked via a travel agent, your agent will need to make the modification for you. Otherwise, you'll need to phone 407-W-DISNEY. Provide your confirmation number. Ask if there is availability to change your accommodations from a preferred room to a standard room. The only difference is in the location. If this is possible, make sure you also have it noted on your reservation that you are requesting a room in the Love Bug section of the All-Star Movies resort. While requests are not guaranteed, WDW strives to do the best that they can to accommodate building requests.

My family stayed in the Love Bug section during our visit to the All-Star Movies resort. Our son was absolutely crazy about "Herbie". At the time, he was five years old. He would wake up each morning and on our way out of the resort, he'd have to stop and say "good morning" to Herbie. In the evening, he wished Herbie a good night. It was magical. Imagineers have placed some tire tracks in the cement nearby Herbie and our son was absolutely convinced that Herbie drove around while he was sleeping. It was absolutely magical!
