Hiya Jeremy!
Welcome again to planDisney! I see that my dear panelist friend
Matt has already provided sage advice regarding Park Hopping strategies for Christmas Day and I am glad to help you now! Christmastime in
Walt Disney World Resort is just the best! Make sure to smell the amazing giant gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You can buy a gingerbread shingle as a snack while watching all the twinkling lights and hearing all the jolly music. It's just a special time of year!
Getting to the magic efficiently and safely is the hallmark of
Walt Disney World Resort Transportation. Your plan sounds intriguing but unfortunately, it won't work at this time. Since
Theme Park Reservations are still needed for all tickets till January 9, 2024, you must begin your day in the Park where you have made your reservation and the location of the Disney Skyliner station at EPCOT sabotages your plan. The
Disney Skyliner, which departs from
Disney's Pop Century Resort and heads to EPCOT will drop you off at the International Gateway Entrance to EPCOT. This is the entrance near the France Pavilion in the World Showcase and is the main entrance for guests who are staying at Disney Resort Hotels in the area such as
Disney's BoardWalk Inn or
Disney's Beach Club Resort. To transfer to the
monorail which is located outside the
Main Entrance to EPCOT you would have to be able to enter EPCOT through the International Gateway Entrance with a valid ticket and theme park reservation and then walk through the World Showcase towards Spaceship Earth to finally exit the Park. As you do not have a theme park reservation set for EPCOT that day you will not be able to enter the Park until after 2 PM. The best solution is to take the bus from Disney's Pop Century Resort to head to Magic Kingdom Park directly. Make sure to give yourself an hour's travel cushion whenever using Disney Resort Transportation but know that in the mornings I have found that buses move very efficiently.
If you are interested in traveling in style consider the
Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft. I find the Minnie Van™ Service works the best for travel to Magic Kingdom Park as you will be dropped off very close to the Park entrance. It's also a great choice for any resort-to-resort travel, however, traditional rideshare vehicles work just as well. I also love that this service offers up to 2 complimentary child seats for any little ones that may be with you and they are driven by amazing Cast Members which is something that gives the Minnie Van™ Service a distinct edge over traditional ride shares.
I hope this helps and that you find your way to every magical moment you are looking for and some that you did not expect to find! Please
let me know if you have any more questions!
Happy Planning!
