Hi there, Brooke! Welcome to planDisney. Plaza Inn is such a wonderful dining spot at Disneyland. Whether you’re there in the morning with Minnie and friends feasting on delicious Mickey waffles or in the evening munching away on savory fried chicken, there really is no wrong time to dine! Let’s go ahead and see what can be done about your reservation.
At this time, I’m seeing this message on the
restaurant’s page: “The Character Dining experience at Plaza Inn will be temporarily unavailable starting August 17, 2026, and is expected to return in late September.” My fingers are crossed that it’ll be open and operating by the time of your arrival and reservation date.
However, if you’re keen on having a character breakfast and Plaza Inn has yet to reopen by the time of your visit, I would go ahead and make a reservation for one of the other wonderful character dining options on property. I went ahead and took a look, and at this time, there is availability on September 22 at both
Storytellers Cafe and
Goofy’s Kitchen. You can’t go wrong with either of these choices! Both are such a splendid time and are unique in their own ways.
