Heya, hiya, Jena! Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy! I'm practically bursting with pixie dust to hear about your upcoming Disneyland adventure! Not only is your trip just around the corner next month, but you'll be right here in the middle of the magic for the grand kickoff of the spectacular
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! Get ready for a park brimming with extra sparkle and surprises as we celebrate 70 years of dreams coming true!
Now, let's chat about two of my absolute favorite things: dazzling parades and delicious eats! The
Plaza Inn Dining Package offers the best of both! Our pals at the Disneyland Resort recently announced a brand new dining package that includes a reserved viewing spot for the sensational
Paint the Night Parade! If you missed its debut ten years ago during the resort's 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, then you're in for a truly luminous treat—this nighttime spectacular is making a dazzling return this summer!
To snag a spot for this enchanting experience, Jena, my best advice is to keep your eyes peeled on the
Plaza Inn Dining Package reservation page. And, here’s my favorite pro tip: look early and look often! Dining reservations usually open up 60 days in advance, which means we're already within that magical window. Since these packages are brand new and your visit coincides with the 70th Celebration's grand opening, it's quite possible that this popular experience has already been wished upon and booked by other excited Guests.
But don't you worry your Mickey ears, Jena! There are still plenty of ways to soak in the parade magic and enjoy some classic Plaza Inn comfort food. I just took a little peek at the dining reservations as I'm writing this, and guess what? I'm seeing some availability for breakfast! And it's not just any breakfast, mind you—the Plaza Inn is home to "Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park", a fabulous character dining experience where you can greet some of your very favorite pals! Now, remember that availability can change faster than you can say "Disneyland", so be sure to hop over to the
reservations page and book your spot before it disappears!
While a delightful breakfast reservation is separate from a dining package, you'll still have a fantastic opportunity to experience the Paint the Night Parade as it twinkles down Main Street, U.S.A.! My top tip is to arrive a bit early to claim your perfect viewing spot. Personally, I love finding a spot near the
Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and treating myself to a scoop of mint chip ice cream while the parade floats by. It's pure Disney bliss!
So, Jena, while nabbing that Plaza Inn Dining Package might feel like wishing upon a star right now, remember that a little planning magic, a dash of persistence, and a sprinkle of flexibility can still lead to a truly unforgettable Disneyland experience filled with delightful parades and tasty treats! Have a wonderfully magical trip, and may all your Disney dreams come true!
