Welcome back to planDisney, Samantha and thanks for stopping by with your question!
Samantha, you are a planner extraordinaire looking ahead to 2024 and as a panelist who loves to dream up five years worth of vacations in advance, this question is close to my heart!
Historically guests have been able to make "room only" reservations (meaning not vacation packages that include tickets, but your stand-alone
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation) up to 500 days in advance of check-in, so since you're looking at September 2024, you still have a bit of time to wait. If you'd like to book
a vacation package (and if I were to guess based on the past), those options won't likely be available until late 2022 or 2023.
Now, the upside of this wait is that you have even more time to dream and plan! Since you're contemplating your length of stay, I always recommend at least five nights, four days of park tickets if it fits into your budget (and vacation availability). Having the option to
visit each park for a full day helps my family balance "doing it all" and still being able to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. If you have a bit more wiggle room in your budget and extra days you're able to be away from home, I love to add in a "resort day" (typically in the middle of the week) where we skip the park, sleep in and savor all the amenities at the resort we have chosen.
Samantha, I hope this information helps as you're planning your Disney vacation. If you have any other questions make sure to come on back to planDisney where we are happier than Miguel with his guitar when we can help guests create their own Magic.
