I have a reservation for 4 people we are staying in the same room and so we have a park package with quick service dining added. So my question is how do we keep track individually of our dining credits? Are the credits linked to our magic bands?

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there. Keiry!

Welcome to planDisney, and excellent question. I want to first begin with a round of applause for both booking a visit and booking a visit with a Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan has become a family must. It’s my husband’s favorite part of our trips because he loves dining and snacking at Disney. In his words, “It’s the best”. I know not very descriptive, but it is enjoyable, trust me.

There are a few ways to keep track of your dining credits. The first is by using the My Disney Experience app. You’ll open the app and visit the “My Resort Stay” section. Select “Check Dining Plan” to view your credits. There you will see the total that was issued, the total amount you’ve redeemed, and how many you have remaining. The second way to keep track of your credits is by checking your most recent dining receipt. You can find the total remaining credits at the bottom of your receipt. The last way to check is by visiting your Resort Concierge or any Guest Relations location.

I like to keep track of our dining credits on the mobile app, with the combination of a note on my phone. I do this because you will find that your credits will be issued all at once as a group, not by person. So, using my notes stored in my phone is where I’ll track who used what for the day, because we often snack at different times. There have also been times when, because of our snacking, we don’t always use our meal credits at the same time, either. So tracking my notes and comparing them to the app helps me juggle everyone’s credit. At the end of it, though, we end up using all of our dining credits, and we are also a family of four.

If you are traveling with an older group, they can manage their credits individually! I only jot ours down because of our two, rather young, Mouseketeers. Keep in mind that they will appear as a whole group number, not by person. Which is why I just appointed myself as the unofficial tracker and let everyone know how much they have left throughout the day and the trip.

Keiry, I hope this helps answer your question so that you can become the unofficial tracker, too! If any more come to mind, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Have the best visit ever,

    Shantel
