If we make reservation for 6 people, would it be possible to remove a person later if that person can't go? Would it be possible to change resorts if wanted?

    Hiya Rodolfo!

Welcome to planDisney! Planning trips with several people with changing plans can be frustrating. It is so disappointing when a friend or family member can't make the trip and I hope that that does not happen to you.

Regardless, Walt Disney World Resort does have some flexibility to help you handle these situations. I don't know if you have a package or just a hotel-only reservation but according to the Terms and Conditions for packages, any changes in the reservation that could include party size or hotel accommodation, "are subject to availability and the prices applicable at the time the change is requested and guest is responsible for paying any increase in price resulting from the change." If changes are made 30 days or less before you arrive then there is a change of $50 per package plus any potential change fees. (all fees are subject to change)

A hotel-room-only reservation can be modified up to 24 hours before your check-in date without penalty. Once you are 24 hours or less from checking in then no modifications are allowed. Sometimes these modifications can be made right from the reservation page in your My Disney Experience Account but I have a feeling you would best be served by speaking to Cast Members directly. Having one thing to change is not as complicated but more than that would be best resolved when speaking to a human.

Since you started with a group of 6, room options are limited to suites and villas such as those at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, the Casitas at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Villas at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, or the Deluxe Room at Disney's Beach Club Resort. I say "limited" when there are quite a few options with excellent amenities perfect for larger parties. I love Disney's Art of Animation Family Suites the most due to the two full bathrooms and amazing theming.

I hope that your plans work out and you find the best Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for your group!

    Happy Planning!
