If I make a reservation online with my credit card does the credit card have to be present to pay?

Michele, you are most welcome! We are so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question.

You are heading into the single-digit countdown for your Disneyland visit and I hope you are busting with excitement. To make a dining reservation you are required to add your credit card information. This credit card is only used if you fail to cancel within 2 hours of your reservation time or are a no-show to your reservation. Otherwise, this credit card will not be used and is not needed for your reservation. You will be able to pay with any accepted form of payment. The only experience I can think of that is different than this would be the World of Color Dessert Party. This experience is paid in full when you book your reservation, but still, you shouldn't be required to present your credit card at check-in.

While we are on the subject of credit cards, one of my top tips for you is to save a credit card to your Disney account profile in the Disneyland app before you arrive. This will make all of the in-app purchasing features so much easier to experience, including my favorite mobile food and beverage ordering option. This will save you lots of time from having to pull out your credit card and enter your information each time you want to order your next snack or meal.

Michele, I hope you have a wonderful visit to The Happiest Place on Earth. If you have any last-minute questions be sure to stop by again! See you real soon!

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
