Hi Kathi, and welcome to planDisney!
As much as we can plan and plan some more, sometimes those plans change. Aw, phooey! In your particular case, if you make a dining reservation for a party of three, because of Disney magic, you do have a bit of wiggle room. Let’s get into exactly what I mean.
Of course, it is best to make dining reservations that reflect the true number of members who will be attending the seating time. However, things do happen. If you can, modify the dining reservation up to two hours before your meal. If that is not possible, simply tell the friendly Cast Member at check-in that your party will only consist of two. Based on my personal experiences, this will not be a problem. It’s harder to add Guests than arrive with fewer.
For instance, I once made a dining reservation in the
My Disney Experience App for two because I wasn’t sure if my husband would be able to meet me at Wine Bar George at
Disney Springs. However, he was unable to, so I ate dinner alone. By the way, it ended up being a fantastic meal and I ended up chatting with all of the tables around me. I’m
that person…
Because the
Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion is not a prepaid meal like Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue or Cinderella’s Royal Table, you will be perfectly fine and will not have to pay for the third person who is a no-show.
