Bright suns, Paula!
Your
Star Wars adventure is nearly here. It’s great that you have already secured a coveted reservation to
Oga’s Cantina during your visit to the
Black Spire Outpost. In the event that joining a Boarding Group is required of guests wishing to travel to the planet
Batuu, you will find that an advanced reservation to the Cantina will grant you priority access to the land, even without joining a Boarding Group. After all, I don’t believe that Oga would take kindly to guests showing up late. Note that Boarding Groups have not been required for access to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in recent months. While that could change, I personally don't foresee it being implemented soon. So you should have no difficulty making your way to Oga’s. Just be sure to watch out for the troopers from the
First Order’s 709th Legion!
Since
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opened over a month ago in
Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, Boarding Groups have been used to form a
virtual queue for guests who wish to experience that mind-blowing attraction. During this time, access to the land has not been restricted. With the opening of
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland Resort on January 17, 2020, I recommend watching the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and information on how to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in general and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in particular at “
Walt Disney’s Original Magic Kingdom.”
I hope you enjoy your time visiting the Black Spire Outpost. I hope you enjoy some
blue or green milk. I’m sure you’ll love the out-of-this-world music played by DJ R-3X at the Cantina. And if you happen to see
Hondo Ohnaka, please tell him I’m sorry about what I did to the
Millennium Falcon.
‘Til the spire, Paula!
