Hi Ronald, welcome to planDisney! I'm excited about your upcoming stay at the
Grand Californian Hotel — it’s one of my all-time favorite places to stay! The Craftsman-style theming throughout, majestic lobby, unbeatable proximity to the parks, cozy rooms, and top-notch dining options are just a few reasons why so many Guests love it. I’m sure you'll have an unforgettable time.
Extending your stay to soak up even more magic is a great idea. The cost for an extra night will depend on the specific date, room type, and any special deals that may apply to your booking. You should be able to explore your options by updating your reservation. To start, visit "
My Hotel Reservations" on the Disneyland website to see if you can make eligible modifications. You can also call the Disneyland Resort
Hotel Reservations phone line to speak with a Cast Member. If you booked your reservation with a travel agent, you may need to contact them directly about modifying your plans.
If you purchased a
Vacation Package that includes theme park tickets, you may be able to upgrade your tickets at the same time you adjust your hotel reservation. You can try doing this independently of your hotel reservation by going to the "
Change Your Theme Park Tickets" page on the website (under "My Disneyland.") You can also call the
Tickets phone line to speak with a Cast Member. Regarding the price, I’ve noticed that the cost per day generally decreases slightly with standard multi-day tickets as the number of days increases (up to 5 days). So, upgrading to a 3-Day Park Hopper will give you more value per day.
I have a tip for you, Ronald: Make sure to match your park reservations with the
Early Entry schedule. Each day, one of the parks will open to Disneyland Resort Hotel guests 30 minutes early. Park hopping
doesn't start until 11 a.m., so your starting park (which your reservation will be for) should be the same as the early entry park that morning.
And during your stay, plan time to
enjoy all the hotel has to offer. There are themed pools and a waterslide, hotel tours, movie nights, fitness classes, and more. You can make reservations at one of the restaurants – I love
Storytellers Cafe, especially for the Character Breakfast. The
Tenaya Stone Spa is a true oasis, and during my last visit, I had the option of listening to Disney soundtracks during my massage!
Ronald, I'm sure your stay at the Grand Californian will be absolutely delightful. If you have any other questions before your trip, please reach out. We are happy to help your Disney vacation dreams come true.
Adventure awaits!
