Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you are already dreaming of a magical visit to Walt Disney World in 2027.
If you're like me, you like to start thinking about the next year's plans as soon as a new year begins. Unfortunately for planners like us, we don't yet know when reservations will available for January 2027 and beyond. In the past, those booking windows have opened in the late spring. I usually keep my eye out for summer special offers beginning in mid-February and for the holidays and beyond in mid- to late March or early April.
While you wait -- and continue to check the Walt Disney World website and
Disney Parks Blog for updates -- you can research which resort will be best for your family and start making your lists of all the exciting rides and attractions you want to experience.
This is a good time, too, to watch the progress on some of the updates and expansions underway at the ever-changing Disney parks. In spring 2026, the re-imagined
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin are scheduled to debut at Magic Kingdom. The new
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is expected to launch in a few months at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Add in refreshes on a number of rides and attractions and construction of new lands, including
Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom, and there's sooo much to anticipate.
