Hi Mandy,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! How exciting to hear that you’ll be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort very soon.
If you already have a
Disney Park Pass for
EPCOT on New Year’s Eve, that’s great! You’ll be ready to walk into the Theme Park, but as you noted entry is subject to availability.
Because this is such a popular day among Walt Disney World guests, you should arrive to the Theme Park earlier in the day rather than later in my opinion. In the past when I’ve been at
Magic Kingdom Park on New Year’s Eve, the Park did hit capacity while I was there.
My suggestion would be to get a really good night’s sleep the night before then head to the Theme Park in the morning, as if it’s a normal Park day. Make sure to have your jackets or anything you might need in the evening with you. If helpful, you can look into renting a
locker as well!
One final tip: book a
dining reservation in the afternoon or evening to take a break and relax. You can book your reservation now since you’re within the
60 day window! EPCOT is home to some of the best dining, so definitely look into something you’ve never done before. And if
quick service is more your speed, try and eat on the “outside” hours of lunch and dinner (ex. 11:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m.). Try the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays booths too!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you plan to ring in the New Year at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other planning or vacation questions in the meantime,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
