We have a reservation for the MK on 10/1/21. We want to dine outside of the park that afternoon but are worried about max capacity on 50th and not being able to re-enter MK if we leave. This was an issue before the park reservation system. Thoughts?

Welcome back to planDisney, Jean!

We are so happy to hear from you again, and even more happy to hear that you’ll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during The World’s Most Magical Celebration beginning October 1! There’s so much magic and many memories just waiting for your arrival!

If you are wanting to experience all of the magic during the 50th Anniversary commencement on October 1 (like Disney Enchantment and Beacons of Magic at Magic Kingdom Park), I would highly recommend staying in Magic Kingdom Park for the whole day. Unless you are interested in hopping to one of the other parks, I’m afraid Magic Kingdom Park may hit capacity due to the popularity of the 50th Anniversary and you may not be able to re-enter.

If it were me, I would cancel that dining reservation and make a new reservation inside Magic Kingdom Park, and soon! There are some incredible dining opportunities within Magic Kingdom Park! My favorite Table Service locations include: Be Our Guest Restaurant, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Cinderella’s Royal Table!
