I have a reservation in May, but wont make it to the hotel until after midnight due to my flight arrival time. I want to pay with gift cards, so cant use online check-in- will my reservation be considered no-show if I dont get there before midnight?

Hi there, Jacky, and thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

I'm sure you're eagerly counting down the days until your magical vacation begins! Can you believe it's less than two months away? I always feel like the countdown truly begins once I cross the 60-day threshold and can begin securing those dining and Enchanting Extras reservations. With your magical vacation beginning at such a late (or early) hour, I'm sure you'll be ready to get quickly checked in so that you can check out the comfortable bed of your Disney Resort hotel, so let's get right to your question!

I reached out to a helpful Cast Member for some help with your specific circumstances, and he shared that the only official method of confirming your intention to stay before you arrive is through the Online Check-In service through the My Disney Experience mobile app. While you will need a credit card on file to complete the process, the card will not be charged until either the fifth day of your reservation or checkout - whichever comes first. Upon arrival, you can stop by the front desk and have them apply your gift cards for any pending charges. If you are concerned about the hold on your card and would rather not use the online check-in service, you could try calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line a day or two in advance and inform them of your circumstances. While this is not a guarantee, they might be able to make a note of your late arrival on your account.

Since you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, I wanted to remind you of the incredible perks available to you during your stay! My favorites include early theme park entry and complimentary transportation to the theme parks, while my pal Jennifer would encourage you to make your vacation feel all-inclusive with the purchase of a dining plan.

I hope one of these options works for you, Jacky, and that you have a wonderful vacation. If you have any additional questions as your vacation approaches, feel free to stop back by! I'm always happy to help!
