Hi we have a reservation for May 30 and I have seen where y’all are no longer sending magic bands my question is what do I need or and where do I get what I need to be my tickets and room key since his was on magic bands last time we came a few years ago

Hi there, Stephanie! Welcome to planDisney! And with your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation only a couple of weeks away, it's just about time to say "Welcome Home!" Before you know it, you'll be gazing down Main Street, U.S.A. as Cinderella Castle rises before you. Sigh. I bet you can't wait!

You're right that Disney no longer provides complimentary MagicBands to Guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Instead though, Guests do have an opportunity to purchase new MagicBands at a discount! You still have a few days left to order and receive MagicBands if you'd like them, so hop into your My Disney Experience app and look for your Resort hotel reservation. Click on "My Resort," and then scroll down to "Choose MagicBands." That will take you to the Walt Disney World website, where you can customize brand new MagicBands for your vacation!

Plus, you can still use your old MagicBands as long as they're still active in your account. Just go to "My MagicBands and Cards" in your My Disney Experience account and make sure your MagicBands are marked "Active." They'll automatically link to your tickets and you can feel free to use them for your trip!

But while MagicBands are fun and functional, they're also totally optional. All you really need to enter the theme parks is an Admission Card, which you can pick up at Guest Relations windows near the park entrances, or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. Just be sure to have your confirmation email and photo ID with you. The Cast Member may also ask for the credit card used to buy the tickets, so you'll want to bring that along as well.

There's also a brand new way to use your tickets right from your phone! In your My Disney Experience app, click on the three little horizontal lines in the bottom right of your screen, and then on "Disney MagicMobile." From there, follow the prompts to save your tickets to your digital wallet on your phone. Then, you can enter the theme parks with just a touch of your phone at the entrance points. How cool is that?

Stephanie, there are so many ways to use your tickets now, I'm sure one of these options will work for you. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to stop by and see us again. We're always here to help!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
