Hi Christina,
Hooray! How exciting that you've already booked your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! A
spring getaway to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" sounds practically PERFECT in every way!
While booking your Disney Resort hotel is a big step, there are a few other important planning steps you'll want to make along the way, like
customizing your MagicBands. With several complimentary options available as well as the ability to
upgrade to a themed MagicBand, you'll love finding the perfect MagicBand to express your Disney style! As long as you
log in to your My Disney Experience account here to select and customize your MagicBands at least 11 days before your visit, you'll receive them through the mail at home. While it's most likely that they'll arrive a few weeks before your trip, some of the upgraded ones have been shipping out shortly after ordering. It's definitely an exciting day when that magical box arrives in your mailbox! If you wait to customize them 6 - 10 days beforehand, they'll still be customized, but they'll be waiting for you at your Disney Resort hotel when you arrive.
While you'll be able to customize your MagicBands at any point, you'll also want to be thinking about where you'd like to dine, as
dining reservations for all Table-service locations will open up 180 days before your check-in. Since you're staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, you'll have the added
benefit of being able to make your dining reservations for the entire length of your stay, up to 10 days, at that 180-day point. The last major planning step you'll want to make sure you mark on your calendar is 60 days before your check-in when you'll be able to make three
FastPass+ selections per day for up to 14 days. While each planning stage builds anticipation, I think the
best part is being able to see your itinerary really come together and know that it won't be long before all of your Disney dreams come true!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel again, Christina, and please let us know if we can help with anything else. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
