Hello there, Denise. Welcome to
planDisney! You are in for an out-of-this-world experience dining at Space 220 for your son's birthday in December.
Denise, I recently experienced lunch (and I say experience because that is just what it is) at
Space 220 and it was so incredibly cool. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is such a neat concept. Denise, the bar and lounge at Space 220 and the dining room are actually right in the same area. The bar and lounge take up a small section of space right in the middle of the restaurant. The bar and lounge area operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. At this time, you aren't able to reserve the lounge area for your meal ahead of time. If you'd like to sit in the lounge area instead, you are able to cancel your dining reservation and then just show up at Space 220 when you would like to go up and enjoy. However, there are no guarantees how long the wait might be for the bar and lounge area seating since it is a walk-up list. Also, depending on your party size you might not all sit together. Since everything is all in the same area, I'd suggest keeping your lunch reservation the way it is, that way you are guaranteed a table with little to no wait time.
If you all are wanting to partake in some 21st birthday activities, you are able to order from the
full bar menu right at your table. I was able to enjoy some atmospheric spirits a.k.a. cocktails during my lunch just last week. All of the specialty cocktails have a fun space theme and presentation and all tasted delicious. On the menu, you'll also find beers, wines, soft drinks and even some zero-proof cocktails if that is what you prefer.
Denise, I think Space 220 is an excellent place to celebrate a 21st birthday. You all are going to have so much fun. If I can help you with anything else before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun and wish your son a very happy birthday!
