Can you still make a reservation less than 60 days at a restaurant -the blue bayou by pirates of the Caribbean? I didn’t know you had to book 60 days out - and I just tried and it didn’t work :(

Yo ho, yo ho, Heather! Welcome to planDisney.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

Blue Bayou is one of Disneyland Resort's most popular restaurants. Not only is the food wonderful, but there's something uniquely magical about eating inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and watching the boats drift by.

Heather, Guests are able to start making dining reservations 60 days in advance of their visit. You are certainly able to make dining reservations at any point within those 60 days. You can even make a dining reservation on the day of your visit. However, the more popular restaurants, like Blue Bayou, tend to fill up extremely quickly. Therefore, it's possible that you won't be able to dine at this location on this particular trip. All is not necessarily lost though. Sometimes, people cancel their reservations. Therefore, you should keep checking and hopefully some tables will open up between now and your visit.

You can also take advantage of the Mobile Dine Walk-Up option. Basically, this allows you to walk up to a participating restaurant and effectively put your name down. If the restaurant can suddenly fit you in during that day, they'll "call your name" (i.e. send you a notification) and you'll be able to dine at the restaurant.

Here's how you use Mobile Dine Walk-Up. First, check to see if your desired restaurant is participating. (Spoiler alert: I just checked and Blue Bayou does participate!). Then, on the day of your visit, arrive at the theme park as soon as it opens. Head straight to your Blue Bayou and join the walk-up list by scanning the QR code located near the restaurant entrance. The main downside to this method is that you'll just have to be flexible when it comes to the time you'd like to eat. This doesn't guarantee you a reservation, but I know many people who've been able to secure a table this way.

I hope that's helpful, Heather. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
