Can I make reservation for a late day character dining, and just have dessert? Or is that frowned upon? Some slots left are very like 9:30pm, so I thought that I could still give my kids the experience if we do dessert?

    Hello Brenda!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel; I am happy to help! My family loves the character dining, so I understand why you would want your children to experience it, too! We actually prefer character dining for breakfast and try to make the earliest reservation possible before park opening.

I am not aware of any character dining at the Walt Disney World resort where you can book a dessert-only option. They are either buffets or served family-style, so it is one, all-inclusive price that includes dessert for a lunch or dinner reservation.

I would encourage you to continue to check with Disney Dining for your preferred dining time as sometimes there are cancellations. You can also narrow down your search by checking the "Character Dining" box in the top left corner under "Dining Experience."

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Good luck and happy character hunting!
