Can you make reservation for hotel only our do you have to do it as a package. We are disabled and only wanted to visit Epcot and stay in a Disney resort

    Hello Michael,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Whether you are planning to visit a theme park or just soak up some Disney magic outside of the parks, Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are a perfect vacation spot.

You don't have to purchase a vacation package with length of stay park tickets. You can certainly book your hotel room and then purchase the tickets that you need separately. In fact, I love being able to have at least one or two non-park days where I can just relax and enjoy the amenities at my hotel. If you feel up to it or are able, you could even spend time exploring Disney Springs, Disney's BoardWalk, and even make dining reservations at some of the fantastic restaurants at other resorts.

You will need to purchase a ticket and make a park reservation for the day that you want to visit EPCOT. Even if you plan on just taking in the scenery, all guests need to have a ticket to enter the park. If you don't want to ride a single attraction, you can still see your favorite characters, enjoy performances around World Showcase, and end the evening watching Harmonious

To book your reservation, click on Places to Stay on the menu bar at the top of the Walt Disney World website. Select your check-in and check-out days and the number of people who will be in the room. You'll see a list of all the available hotel rooms. Select the one you want. Then you'll be able to choose Room Only or Package to see what's available. Once you've selected your resort room, choose No Ticket when you are asked to select the number of days. (You'll purchase your one-day ticket separately.)

After you make those plans you can select Parks and Tickets on the menu bar at the top of the Walt Disney World page. Choose Select Tickets and then follow the prompts to purchase a one-day admission.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
    Diane

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
