Howdy Rosanna!
It’s so great to have you visiting the Orlando area from the West Coast. I was just at Disneyland a few weeks ago with the other new panelists for the training. Although I have been to Disneyland a few times before, this time was super special as I got to see and do things from a whole new perspective. I have this newfound appreciation for the park that started it all. I could reminisce forever, but for now, let's get to your question.
I have fabulous news for you! You can absolutely purchase a 1-day park hopper during your stay, and because you are staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel, you will also get early park entry privileges. I actually stayed at a Good Neighbor Hotel just last year, so let me walk you through a couple of steps you will need to take to ensure everything is set up properly before your trip to the park.
1. Call your hotel and get your confirmation number if you do not already have it.
2. Log in to the
Walt Disney World website. If you have been to Disneyland, you can log in with your Disneyland account info; otherwise, you will need to create an account.
3. Next, click the My Disney Experience tab, then select the My Plans and Tickets button.
4. Scroll down a bit until you see the blue circle labeled "Resort Hotel." Hover your cursor over it and click the Link a Reservation button.
5. Enter your confirmation number and follow the on-screen prompts until you get a confirmation that your hotel has been added. You should now see your hotel under the My Plans and Tickets screen.
6. To get your tickets, scroll down this screen to the blue circle labeled "Park Tickets." Hover your cursor over it and then click the Select Tickets button. You can now choose your park ticket with hopper options.
7. Once you have purchased your tickets, go back to the My Plans and Tickets screen just to ensure everything looks correct. If you have any issues, please contact Guest Services at (407) 934-7639 between 7 am and 11 pm EST.
Alright, now that you have all that done, there is just one more thing I highly recommend you do, and that would be to download the
My Disney Experience app. This is very similar to the Disneyland app you may already be familiar with. Here you will be able to see what time early entry is for the park you will start your day at, as well as manage all of the other important things like dining reservations, Lightning Lanes, and show times. Practically everything you could possibly need for your visit.
Oh, one more thing. I would check with your hotel, as they may offer a shuttle service to the early entry park you choose. If not, you can always call a
Minnie Van to get there.
Rosanna, I hope that you have an absolutely magical time during your visit to Walt Disney World!
See ya real soon,
Robert
