Hi there, Teela! Welcome back to planDisney! Get ready to catch some of the largest bass you’ve ever seen! The lakes around the Walt Disney World Resort are home to some real lunkers! Our family has pulled some huge largemouth bass from the lake around Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!
Guests visiting a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for purposes of enjoying dining, shopping, entertainment, or recreational activities will not be charged for parking while at the resort. Upon arrival at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, you might be asked to show your fishing reservation. If asked, simply show your reservation or your confirmation email.
Teela, the fishing guides on the lakes of the Walt Disney World Resort are so fun and friendly! They also know the best places to go to find the big ones! In addition to your guide and boat, your fishing adventure will include rods, reels, tackle, bait, and Coca-Cola (for you, not the fish)! You are welcome to bring along other beverages, including alcohol for Guests over age 21.
Don’t forget that you’ll be in the Florida sun! In addition to beverages, a hat with a brim, sunglasses, and sunblock are good items to consider bringing along. As is always the case with fishing, the time on the boat goes by so fast! I recommend the 4-hour excursion for more fishing time. In addition to fishing, you can ask your guide to take you on a little tour around the lake!
After your boat returns to the marina, you might want to grab a quick bite to eat at
Gasparilla Island Grill! This quick-service restaurant, situated next to the marina, offers a great menu and cold beverages to enjoy after your fishing trip!
Dreams do come true!
