I have a 8am reservation at Be Our Guest but plan to spend the remainder of the day at Animal Kingdom. What time would you recommend I reserve my first fast pass at AK? Thank you.

    Hi Cheryl,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. It sounds as though you have a wonderful Disney Day planned for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park, followed by Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Sounds perfect to me!

Because you might want to linger after your breakfast in order to explore all of the rooms at the Beast’s Castle and because, let’s face it, there’s always something to see for “just five more minutes” on your way out of Magic Kingdom Park, I’d want to err on the side of caution and make your first FastPass+ selection at Disney’s Animal Kingdom no earlier than 10:30 am. That should give you plenty of time to eat and make your way to your next Theme Park. Don’t forget that your FastPass+ selection actually gives you a one hour return window, which means that a selection starting at 10:30 am can be used any time until 11:30 am.

If you want to try to hit some attractions at Magic Kingdom Park, like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, immediately at park opening when the standby lines are typically at their lowest (which I would strongly encourage you to consider doing), then I would push back your FastPass+ return to at least 11:00 am, if not later.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
