Hi, we have a 8:30am reservation at Be Our Guest when the park opens at 9am that day. What is the best way to get from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom on time and what time should we plan to leave to get there?

    Hi Brittany,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is rapidly approaching. You must be so excited! Starting your day at the Magic Kingdom Park with a delicious breakfast at Be Our Guest Restaurant sounds positively dreamy.

When the Magic Kingdom Park opens at 9 A.M., they will allow guests to enter as early as 8 A.M. to enjoy Main Street, U.S.A. You can walk as far as the hub in front of Cinderella Castle. Walkways will be blocked with a rope and a Cast Member nearby. I recommend trying to arrive at Magic Kingdom Park around 8 A.M. to give yourself time to be prompt for your reservation at Be Our Guest Restaurant. It's so much nicer to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. rather than feeling like you have to rush.

The best way to travel from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Magic Kingdom Park is going to be using Resort Bus Transportation. I recommend giving yourself at least 30 to 45 minutes to get from the resort to the park. Did you know you can check bus arrival times on the My Disney Experience app? Once you have arrived at the resort you can click on "Resort Reservation" to bring up more information. In addition to information on dining and recreation, you can find your resort room number, and bus arrival times. It's so convenient to know when the bus arrives because you can decide when you need to leave your resort room in order to be at the bus stop in time. Buses generally run every 20 minutes but knowing the arrival time takes the guesswork out of it.

Brittany, thank you for visiting us with another great question. I hope you will let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
