Hi Eleanor!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The short answer is yes!! For any Guests with a dining reservation at a restaurant inside a Walt Disney World Resort theme park, you will be admitted with enough time to make your way to your restaurant. For your 8.00am reservation, I would suggest arriving at
Magic Kingdom Park around 30-40 minutes earlier than that, to give you enough time to clear the security bag check, and walk to the Castle in Fantasyland. Head to the entrance with a sign for 'Guests with early dining reservations' where you will scan your MagicBand or park ticket.
I am very excited to see that you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort at Christmas time! In my opinion there is nowhere more magical to spend the holidays. I was visiting there a couple of weeks ago, and the decorations were already starting to go up - and it was looking so beautiful! I am also happy that you have secured a breakfast reservation at
Be Our Guest Restaurant, at Magic Kingdom Park. This is one of the most popular dining locations, and once you step inside Beast's Castle you will see why!
If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, complimentary
Resort transport will take you to the theme parks and will start running around 45 minutes before park opening times. You are correct that Magic Kingdom Park opens at 8.00am on 22nd December. This means your transport will be operating from around 7.15am. If you were able to board the first bus, it is possible this would give you enough time, but at this very busy time of year I probably wouldn't advise it. So, I would highly recommend using the
Disney Minnie Van Service for an efficient and magical start to your day! Driven by knowledgeable and friendly Disney Cast Members, these vans can be ordered by using the Lyft app on your smartphone, where you can also see the cost of using this service, and make your payment. These vans can accommodate up to 6 Guests (including 2 child seats if required). You can also order regular Lyft vehicles by using the same app. It is worth noting that the Minnie Vans are the only cars permitted to bring Guests to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. All other cars must drop off at the Transportation and Ticket Center where you will transfer to a ferryboat or monorail to take you to the entrance of the park (therefore adding extra travelling time).
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
