Bonjour, Domenica!
When you dine at
Be Our Guest Restaurant in
Magic Kingdom Park, you'll feel like you've stepped right into the classic Disney animated film, Beauty and the Beast. Dining within the walls of Beast's enchanted castle is a magical experience in and of itself!
Guests are seated in one of three themed rooms: the Grand Ballroom, the Rose Gallery, or the West Wing. Each area has special touches to bring to life the love story of Beast and Belle. In the Grand Ballroom, if you look out the windows, you'll see snow falling, even on the hottest summer day. If you look up, you'll see a massive chandelier, surrounded by paintings of cherub angels. Fun fact: The faces on the angels belong to either Imagineers' babies, Imagineers themselves as babies, or, if you look closely, you'll see some
adult Imagineer faces on tiny baby bodies! In the Rose Gallery, there are gorgeous paintings and tapestries covering the walls and a life-size Belle and Beast twirling atop a music box. In the dimly-lit West Wing (my favorite), you'll see the Beast's enchanted rose, and just might see a petal drop during your meal. Pay attention to the portrait on the wall when the lightning strikes for a cool surprise.
At the present time, meals at Be Our Guest Restaurant are served as a
3-course prix fixe menu only. Lunch and dinner seatings are available, and reservations are required. When it first opened, the restaurant offered a Quick Service breakfast and lunch menu, with a reservations-only Table Service dinner menu. On the Quick Service menu, you could order appetizers and desserts separately if you liked. Currently, that is not an option, as the prix fixe menu takes center stage. My family was able to try the new French cuisine-inspired menu on our last visit, and we really enjoyed it. We were each able to choose an Appetizer and Entree, then enjoyed a Dessert Trio to top off the meal. (You'll get to try the grey stuff - it's delicious! Don't believe me, ask the dishes!) I had a hard time choosing between the French Onion Soup and the Lobster Bisque for my appetizer, but I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I selected the Center-cut Filet Mignon as my entree, and it was cooked to perfection. While the meal was delicious, I feel like it's a heavy choice for lunchtime, and I always prefer a dinner seating for our family.
A fun part of our meal was when the Master of the Castle, Beast, greeted Guests with a grand stroll through the restaurant. At this time, there are no posed photos with him, but he took time to wave and interact with Guests throughout his visit.
Now, I invite you to relax, pull up a chair, as the dining room proudly presents...your dinner. I hope you'll be able to enjoy dining at Be Our Guest on your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
