Hello, Roxanne! Welcome to planDisney!
I am very excited for you to dine at the
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, our family’s favorite Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Whether dining at the
Grand Floridian Café or
1900 Park Fare, you will thoroughly enjoy your meal and the elegance of the Victorian-style hotel and grounds.
To answer your question, the parking lots to the Theme Parks will open approximately 45 minutes to one hour before the
Early Entry hours. I suggest visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort Hours & Events Calendar, selecting your vacation dates, and seeing what those hours may be. The
complimentary resort transportation also begins operating approximately 45 minutes to one hour before park opening, so if the Early Entry hours would allow you to enter the Magic Kingdom parking lot at the Transportation and Ticket Center, the monorail would be operating as well, allowing you to ride to the Grand Floridian for your
Advance Dining Reservation.
Suppose the Transportation and Ticket Center parking opens earlier than expected. If the monorail isn’t running, there is a walking path connecting the Transportation and Ticket Center to
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and a beautifully scenic walking path connecting the Polynesian to the Grand Floridian. The walking path around Seven Seas Lagoon has been closed recently due to pixie dust being added to the
Disney Vacation Club Resort portfolio, but a friendly Cast Member informed me that things are starting to re-open. I suggest coming back to planDisney to
ask me another question as you get closer to your stay so I can get an update on your behalf!
I can certainly understand why you do not want to relocate your car. Still, it does sound like taking advantage of the
complimentary parking at the Grand Floridian (since you have a dining reservation) may be your best bet, given the time of your breakfast. After breakfast, relocating your car to the Transportation and Ticket Center would then allow you to enjoy the monorail or, a personal favorite, a ferryboat ride!
I hope this helps! If you have any additional vacation planning questions, please swing by again!
Cheers,
Brent
