    Amy from OH Asked

We have a reservation at the Grand Californian hotel starting May 8th. We are not California residents. Will DVC members with a reservation have an opportunity to buy tickets or will tickets be limited to California residents?

Greetings, Amy and "welcome home!" Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

Amy, you are in good company with your question as many fellow Disney Vacation Club Members are wondering about the reopening of the Disneyland Resort. Unfortunately I'm sorry to report that due state guidelines, at this time only California residents will be permitted to visit Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park.

With reservations at The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, I'm sure this isn't the news you were hoping for, but should you keep your reservation, I hope you can enjoy your park-free stay. Amy, if you find yourself in southern California, you are welcome to shop and dine through Downtown Disney! Prior to arrival, please read this Know Before You Go.

Amy, I'll be wishing on a star for you that regardless of whether you modify your reservation to a later date or visit The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa soon, you are able to find moments of Magic. Please come back to planDisney with any other questions you might have,

Meet the Panelist: Lauren, Pennsylvania

Greetings from central Pennsylvania! Hi, I’m Lauren and I can’t wait to answer all of your Disney Vacation Club and Walt Disney World Resort questions. My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
