Do you have to have a reservation to go to Disneyland

Hi there, David. Welcome to planDisney.

We’re so glad you’ve stopped by with your question for us. It looks like you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth soon.

Since the Disneyland Resort theme parks reopened in late April after the pandemic forced the parks’ closure, Guests are required to make theme park reservations prior to entry. As you purchase your tickets, you will be asked to select the date(s) and starting park you wish to visit. Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with QR code(s) unique to you. For entry, you will need both a valid theme park ticket and park reservation. The Cast Member at the Main Entrance turnstile may also ask to see the unique QR code as well.

For the latest park news, be sure to check out Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com before your visit!

If you have more trip-planning questions, please feel free to write us again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
