Hi, i have a reservation to go to Disney World in December. Im a little afraid with the Covid 19 situation. I want to know how's everything working on the parks and resorts. And if is worth pay the memory maker. Thanks in advance

Hey there, Carla! Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by to discuss your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. If you visit in December, there is no doubt that things will look and feel somewhat different. Before the Parks' reopening in July of this year, Walt Disney World Resort implemented new safety precautions and regulations to ensure that all Guests and Cast Members are as safe and careful as possible as people begin to return to the magic! You will be able to familiarize yourself with all of these changes on the Experience Updates pages.

To summarize, you will see that face coverings are required at all times on all Walt Disney World properties for Guests ages 3 and up, except while swimming or eating. Temperature screenings are required for entry to some locations, including Disney Theme Parks and Disney Springs. Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System are necessary to enter the Disney Theme Parks, and must be scheduled in advance. Enhanced cleaning and reduced contact measures are being implemented, and physical distancing standards are being enforced.

With all these protective measures in place, I know of many folks who have finally been able to enjoy some Disney magic recently! However, you are the only one that can decide what is right for you and your family. Walt Disney World Resort will be there for you when you are ready, and cancellation policies are flexible these days to allow Guests to alter their plans as they need through the end of 2020. However, if you do decide to take your trip, I would certainly recommend that you invest in Memory Maker! Someday, perhaps you’ll look back fondly at that time you all were able to visit the Happiest Place on Earth wearing your favorite Disney-themed masks. Imagine the photo-ops! My family and I love having access to my treasured Disney vacation photos for many years after our trips, and we always make it a priority to pre-purchase Memory Maker prior to our trips.

Carla, I hope that this information is helpful to you as you continue to make magical plans for your next visit to Walt Disney World, whenever it may be! In the meantime, if we can help you in any other way, please know that we are here for you, and it is our pleasure to help our guests navigate all these changes in the best ways we know how!

    See ya real soon!
