We have a reservation with Genie plus. There is a 2 year old with our group (so no ticket needed). How will that work for Lightning Lane for her?

    Hi ya, Sharon!

It's great to meet you, thanks so much for your question! Visiting the Disneyland Resort with my kids when they were 2 years old was truly the best. Plus, they didn't need a park ticket! Free magic for the win, right?

I totally understand that traveling with young kids who don't need park tickets can make you wonder about how to use Disney Genie+ Service as a group. But I have great news for you! Guests under the age of 3 who are traveling with adults who have purchased Disney Genie+ Service are welcome to ride attractions using Genie+ Lighting Lane entrances with their party as long as they meet height requirements. This also applies to Individual Lightning Lane purchases!

That means your next assignment is to go check out the list of Lightning Lane attractions and look for which ones have height requirements. I still measure each of my kids before we visit the parks to know what they'll be able to ride! Happily, there are lots of attractions on the Lightning Lane list across both parks that have no height requirement, including:

    • "it's a small world"
    • Haunted Mansion
    • Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway (Individual Lightning Lane purchase)
    • Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
    • Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin
    • Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue!
    • Toy Story Midway Mania!
For attractions that do have height requirements, you're always welcome to use Rider Switch to take turns riding and hanging out with the littlest Mouseketeer. Waiting with a mini human while others are on an attraction is the perfect time to grab a snack, visit with a character, or find a spot to stretch and explore.

The absolute best place for little ones to play right now is Mickey's Toontown! The whole neighborhood has been beautifully reimagined, with so many things to discover. You can splash in the fountains, slide and run at Goofy's How-to-Play Yard, and enjoy the delightful homes of Mickey and Minnie!

Sharon, I hope this information helps you make the most of Disney Genie+ and enjoy a wonderful day in the parks! If there's anything else I can do to help please don't hesitate to ask!

    Keep moving forward!
