Hi Stephen! Welcome to planDisney!
Your weekend plans sound much better than my weekend plans! I think a weekend at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground sounds dreamy. I have tried to convince my husband we need to buy a camper just so we can experience the campground at this unique spot, but it hasn't worked yet. I'll keep trying!
Masks are optional for Guests when they are outdoors at any Walt Disney World Resort locations, including the Disney Resorts Collection hotels and campgrounds. When you are indoors or on
Walt Disney World transportation (except ferry boats), you will need to wear a mask as they are currently required for all Guests regardless of vaccination status at these locations. As you enjoy your stay this weekend, you can explore the resort and walk around outside without a mask. I suggest keeping one with you, though, just in case you decide to duck into an indoor location like
Meadow Trading Post. You can visit the link regarding mask policies that I included above for the most up-to-date information.
I hope you have a great visit, Stephen! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
