Hiya, Ruth, and welcome to
planDisney! We’re so glad you stopped by!
It sounds like you’re starting to plan for your August arrival to the
Happiest Place on Earth – and I couldn’t be more excited for you! So, here’s how it works: You can start making
park reservations for your
theme-park tickets up to 120 days in advance, subject to availability. So, I checked the calendar, and it looks like you’ll be able to make your park reservations on April 20, 2022, since that marks 120 days before August 28, 2022. You’ll be able to choose between a One Park Per Day ticket or a Park Hopper ticket. With the One Park Per Day option, you’ll select one theme park and stay there the entire day, whereas with a Park Hopper, you’ll select one park to start in, and then “hop” to the other park any time after 1:00 PM. I’m happy to report that you can walk from the entrance of one theme park to the other in less than two minutes, which makes park hopping easy!
Another date you’ll want to remember is about 60 days in advance of your arrival date, which signals the date you can start making
dining reservations for your day in the parks. So, for your August 28 arrival day, you should be able to start making dining reservations on June 29. One of my favorite
Character Dining experiences is at
Plaza Inn in
Disneyland Park, and it’s the only Character Dining experience located inside one of the theme parks. “Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park” is a delicious all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet filled with Mickey waffles, French toast, and made-to-order omelets. Your family will love the assortment of Characters that visit this special breakfast location!
I hope this information helps you plan your dream day at the Disneyland Resort, Ruth! Please come back with any additional questions you may have… we’re all EARs!
Happy planning,
Kristin
