I have a reservation for my family of 5 (3 total water rats) at the Beach Club this August. But I've been doing some checking: we can get the Teacher Discount at the Dolphin and save some serious money. Will we be missing much by making the change? Advice?

    Hi Alice!

Wow, that is a hard decision that you have to make.  I will tell you a few things that might make your decision a little easier.  The Dolphin is is the same general Epcot area as the Beach Club Resort and guests at the Dolphin have access to Disney transportation to get to the Parks and Downtown Disney.  The Magical Express Service is not available to guests of the Dolphin or the Swam Resorts, so you will have rent a car or purchase other transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport if you are flying in.  Also if you have a car, there is a daily parking charge to park it at the Dolphin Resort.  There are some other associated fees and taxes that are added to your room at the Dolphin.  I am not sure when you factor in all of these added expenses whether the Teacher Discount will look as attractive. The Swan and Dolphin Resorts have pools, but there are nothing like the Storm Along Bay Pool at the Beach Club Resort (it is more like a water park than a pool).  If you your children love the water, then I would recommend keeping your Beach Club Resort reservations.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical for you and your family!
