have reservation for Epcot on sept 4. want to go to and experience the frozen ride. should we go through Epcot at the main gate or the back entrance (near skyline) to be closer to the ride.

Hi there, Wayne!  Thanks for visiting planDisney!

When my daughter was little, her favorite movie was Frozen, so your question brings back memories that are like warm hugs for me.  My daughter is a teenager now, and while she no longer watches Frozen multiple times a day, our whole family still loves to ride Frozen Ever After.  This enchanting boat ride is sure to melt a frozen heart and have you belting out "Let It Go."  I definitely understand why Frozen Ever After is a top priority for your EPCOT day.

Frozen Ever After is found in the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT's World Showcase.  Therefore, this attraction is closer to the International Gateway (the back entrance of EPCOT located near the Disney Skyliner station) than the main entrance of the theme park.  Although this attraction is located closer to the International Gateway, I would recommend considering where you will be traveling from and your mode of transportation when deciding which park entrance to use.

If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel that is located behind EPCOT or along the Disney Skyliner route, it will be easy for you to enter EPCOT using the International Gateway.  However, if your resort hotel offers bus or monorail transportation to EPCOT, you will need to enter the park through the main gates.  If you will be driving yourself to the theme park, you will also need to enter EPCOT through the front entrance as this is where the parking lots are located.

If you plan to use a ride-share service to travel to EPCOT, this may give you a bit more flexibility.  Ride-shares can drop Guests off near the main park entrance, or if you'd like to use the International Gateway, you could see if your ride-share driver could drop you off at one of the resort hotels that are within walking distance to the International Gateway, such as Disney's Beach Club Resort.  The ability to be dropped off at a resort hotel is at the security guard's discretion, but in my experience, they will usually allow a ride-share to drop you off as long as you do not need to park at the resort hotel.

During your vacation, be sure to experience all of the Frozen fun at Walt Disney World Resort.  After your ride on Frozen Ever After, stop by the Royal Sommerhus to meet Elsa and Anna.  Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can visit with Olaf and take in a performance of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.  You can also spot Elsa and Anna at Magic Kingdom Park in Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire and in the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade.

We're an open door here at planDisney, so stop back if you have any other questions.  Wishing you a magical vacation!
