Please note that MagicBands are non-transferable, so once you link it to a Guest, it cannot be linked to another Disney account. Are you trying to connect it to another account under your name? Although it will not be possible to link it to another account, I am glad to hear that you can still sign in to the account the MagicBand was originally linked to.
Guests can activate or deactivate their MagicBands by
signing in to their Disney account and visiting
My MagicBands and Cards. Since I have several MagicBands linked to my account, I usually deactivate all of them and only activate the MagicBand I want to use. An active MagicBand simply means it is ready to be used. Still, depending on when you purchased your MagicBand, I recommend stopping by any
Guest Relations location or speaking with Cast Members at the entrance of all four theme parks to confirm that your MagicBand is still working.
planDisney tip: If you decide not to use a MagicBand during your visit, you are welcome to use
Disney MagicMobile service or a regular ticket card to enter the theme parks (with valid admission linked to My Disney Experience).
