Hello, we have A reservation for the Dolphin hotel for one night on September 19th. We will be going to Epcot early in the morning at opening time before checking into the Dolphin. Do we still need to pay for parking at Epcot when we arrive?

Hey there, welcome to planDisney Richard. Thank you for bringing us your question.

EPCOT is always full of fun no matter when you choose to visit. The fall season means the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has kicked off. There is so much to choose from to sip and dine all around the World Showcase. Global Marketplaces have the perfect pairings of drinks and plates. There is also the Eat to the Beat Concert Series presented by Florida Blue Medicare. This series features a star-studded lineup as well as some locals mixed in. Check the schedule each day for performance times.

I love staying near the parks and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is within walking distance of two parks. The EPCOT International Gateway is about 10-15 walking minutes from your hotel and that is where I would recommend parking on the morning of your visit. Currently, the parking costs associated with the Dolphin Hotel cannot be used for parking inside the theme park lots. But this is perfect when it comes to your situation. Since you are staying there you can park your car there and walk to the International Gateway and not have to worry about paying for the lot at EPCOT as well.

If you take advantage of the Park Hopper Option you might be able to squeeze in some extra magic walking over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios after 2 p.m. and you still have no reason to move your car. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge always calls my name, Batuu is an amazing place and if you haven’t visited yet I would certainly get it on your “Must-do” list. Try and get a reservation for Oga’s Cantina at the Walt Disney World Resort if you want to hear my favorite robot DJ R-3X on the turntables.

I hope this information helps plan your quick stay. Come back and visit us anytime at planDisney.com and we will be happy to help.

    See ya real soon,
