Hi there. If we make a reservation at the 1 of the 4 DisneyWorld parks and we need to change dates, is this possible? Thank you.

Well hello there Karen, wishing you a very Royal welcome from your very own planDisney Prince!

It's always so wonderful connecting with fellow Canadians as they plan and prepare for their trips down to some well-needed warm weather in Florida, and the Walt Disney World Resort is all abuzz with activity across all of the Theme Parks this year! My husband and I like to switch around our reservation dates often, so I'm definitely happy to help lend as much of my own experience and knowledge as I can:

You'll be pleased to hear that it's actually very simple to change dates for your Theme Park Reservations, which can be completed via My Disney Experience in three easy steps:

    1. Confirm whether the date that you are looking to switch to is open on the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar, making sure to indicate whether you are a guest staying at select Resort Hotels or an Annual Passholder as each may have different limitations on access to reservations on certain dates.
    2. After selecting "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations", you may be prompted to sign into your My Disney Experience account if you haven't already. Afterward, you'll have to confirm the Guests in your party whose reservations will be modified, followed by the Date and Park you'd like for your new reservation.
    3. Once you confirm your selections you should immediately receive an email with "Walt Disney World Theme Park Reservation Modification" in the subject line, with your modified reservation now updated online for you to view.
I recommend checking the availability for dates and changing your reservations sooner than later (especially during holidays and more popular times of the year), but I also find that we sometimes get lucky if we decide to make a last-minute switch as availability can fluctuate even on the day! In the event that you're unable to do so online or on your My Disney Experience Mobile App, we've also had some luck by inquiring at the Front Desk of our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to see whether they have any way to make a little magic and help us out!

While you're down in Orlando for your Walt Disney World Resort visit I definitely hope that you get a chance to experience the brand-new TRON Lightcycle / Run; as long you make sure that you have a Magic Kingdom Park reservation, you'll be able to enter the Virtual Queue. Come on back to planDisney to ask me about more Tips and Tricks for your trip!

All the best on your upcoming Adventure - it's out there!
