I have a reservation for the Disneyland railroad tour this coming Tuesday. Where do we meet? Do we meet in the regular tour area, or do we meet at the train station? Thank you.

Greetings, Anne, and welcome to planDisney! Golly, I'm so excited to hear that you'll be taking a journey to the past on the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour. I loved this tour so much last year that I went on it again this spring. I'm happy to help prepare you for this exciting part of your visit.

All guided tours start at the Tour Garden, which is right next to City Hall near the entrance of the park. You'll want to head there 15 minutes before your tour reservation time to check in. Please bring your photo ID, credit card, and reservation confirmation in case the Cast Member asks for it. You can expect to receive a nametag, headphones, and a sweet treat ahead of the tour. When it's time to begin, your tour guide will gather everyone together to walk to the first stop of the tour.

You will learn a lot about Walt Disney's love of trains, and how that helped influence the stories he told and the attractions he dreamed up. You'll walk to a series of locations throughout the park, ultimately ending up at one of the train stations to board the Disneyland Railroad. Weather and availability permitting, you'll board the special Presidential Car, the Lilly Belle, for a scenic and memorable trip around the park. That was my favorite part of the tour! At the end, you'll turn in your headphones and receive a special keepsake.

Anne, while you're at Disneyland, leave time to experience the other train-themed attractions. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Casey Jr. Circus Train, and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway all come to mind. You can also go inside the Main Street, U.S.A. train station to see a map that lights up the location of each Disneyland Railroad train. If you have the MagicBand+, visit the interactive station in Frontierland – you might receive a printed train ticket, which is a fun, free souvenir.

To round out your train-themed day, why not get the gold Mickey conductor hat? It's sparkly, beautiful, and part of an extensive merchandise lineup for the 70th Anniversary Celebration. Speaking of the 70th Anniversary, there is so much more to experience at the Disneyland Resort as part of the fun. Get ready for dazzling entertainment, festive food, and more.

Anne, I hope you enjoy the tour as much as I did. This will be a magical day! If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.

Wishing you magic. Full steam ahead!
