Welcome to planDisney, Marilyn. I hope that this answer finds you feeling much better and ready to tackle a vacation at the
Walt Disney World Resort!
When you do not use a
theme park ticket during the window intended, the value of the ticket can usually be used toward the purchase of new tickets in the future. To see the tickets in your account, log onto your
My Disney Experience mobile app and select the 3 horizontal lines (☰) in the bottom right-hand corner. Next, select "Tickets and Passes" and you should see your tickets there. When it comes time to apply the value of these tickets to another ticket purchase, you can select the ticket and tap "Change Ticket." You'll then select a new start date and follow the prompts to complete the process. It's important to note that if your new tickets are more expensive, you will be responsible for the difference when you change the ticket date and if it's less expensive, you will not receive a refund for the difference. If you run into any issues or you have questions specific to your account,
you can call a friendly Cast Member at the resort and they'd be happy to help!
Since it looks like you're planning to reschedule your trip to December of this year, you'll definitely want to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog during the month of June and beyond. Why the month of June specifically? Because that's Halfway to the Holidays and it's usually when they start to announce all things related to the holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort. I cannot wait to visit the resort during this time of year as I'm hoping to enjoy
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in
Magic Kingdom Park...and perhaps
Disney Jollywood Nights if it's offered again at
Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Marilyn, if you have any other questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
You're never too old to be young,
Matt
